The quote above by Dr. Suess couldn't be truer! No person is the same and no one will ever be like you. How boring would that be if we were all exactly alike?! It's not just about how you look, your interests, or your beliefs. No one learns the exact same way you do either. What comes easy to you may be difficult to the person sitting beside you in class. As an educator it is my job to figure out how my lessons are going to reach every single one of you in my classroom.
Differentiated instruction is essential if I want to have successful students in my classroom. We should want our students working to their full potential every day. We need to develop activities that strengthen their weaknesses and continue to build on the foundation that is already there. No one learns the same so why should we always teach the same? It's not an easy task but it's the only way to be sure that each student will succeed. Just like Dr. Suess said...
" And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)"
